battery is not for HP Pavilions DV5200 series, even the battery box says it is meant for Compaq Presario M2000/V2000 series. I would have never bought it if i knew it before.

The battery is not an exact physical replacement for the battery that came with my HP L2000. It extends below the bottom of the laptop and raises the back of the computer slightly on flat surfaces. However, it fits correctly, functions correctly and is very robust.
